Hello the 6L6GB and the 6L6GC are interchangeable tubes the GC was the latest series but bothe tubes are almost identical .I use lots of Sovtek 6L6GBs with no problems in my repair shop.Sounds like your amps bias supply needs servicing.Ie the resistors may have changed value or you could have got a bad tube .Take your amp to a tech in your area for a checkup or you can ship to me .I hope this helps Tom Felty Sundown Productions
