Well, I can answer my own question partially. Got
to try Fender's Amp Can yesterday with a Fender
Roscoe Beck V bass. Did a great "Bill the Cat"
imitation: Phhhtttppptt! Salesman was a little
embarrassed -- apparently the signal out from the
RBV was way too much for the Amp Can to handle
(keep in mind that this is a PASSIVE bass -- no
active electronics!). I bought the bass but
canned the Can. Now the question is: can the Hog30 handle a low B string? Once I find an area dealer I hope to have that answer shortly!
