Well, I got the clean I was looking for. I just bought a Kustom 16 watt 2 channel with eq for less than 90 bucks, brand new, from Pro Music. Plays clean at good volume and the lead channel screams like a wild woman. It has a Super 8 Celestion and is LOUD for a baby amp. The tone is good for solid state and it is small enough to sit on the coffee table. I will keep the little Pignose as a novelty. I still like the way it looks and it is ok for some non serious picking plus it is a little piece of history. Thanks to everyone involved in the discussion of 7-100 mods. Dan
