Ok Stratdude, I have real freaking amps. Three to be exact. 1 Delta Blues 115, 1 Earth g2000 Super Guitar head & 4/12 cab, 1 Crate tube stereo guitar amp. I play a standard Strat, a 1993 Gibson SG Showcase, & an old Gretch. I dont't brag about my inventory. The point is that people buy these little practice amps so they don't have to drag out the big stuff just to sit around the house and play. The little pignose starts breaking up at about 1/3 volume with the single coil strat. I will not even tell you what the EMG's on the SG do to it. As far as cranked goes this little amp is not loud. We are just looking for a way to clean it up a little. I like the distortion sometimes but not always. As far as overdriving the speaker, it is an 8 watt speaker taking 5 watts max. It is the configuration of the electronics in this amp that cause it to distort early. There may or may not be a fix for it but it is a cool little amp and worth the effort if I can find a way. Lastly dont waste any scarcasm on somebody that has probably been playing since before you were even hatched. Dan S.
