I use my My Hog30 for playing my acoustic bass and I noticed that the spkr recently developed a "flutter" type of sound in the background when playing anywhere on the E string, fretted or open. This sound is not present when playing on the A,D or G strings. I just replaced both batteries and it runs very strong.
Is the spkr blown? In replacing it I would like to go with a little heavier duty unit, is it a 4 or 8 ohm unit? I would like to try a Carvin 8" PA speaker, just have to make sure the ohm's match....
