I'm considering buying a Pignose 7-100 or 7-200. Would like to know whether or not it's advisable to use effects with these Pignose models (I'd be especially curious about Line 6 and Digitech). The existing information is mixed, and I couldn't find any manufacturer information about this on the site. Also, can the Pignose be used in lieu of a DI box for recording to a hard drive, or will this melt my sound card and/or cause other highly undesirable effects?
Any advice/information you can supply would be greatly appreciated.
